Created in 1890, the house first serves as a deposit of coal, wood and finally wine. In 1914, the family Fouet, then owner of the premises, decided to open the room on the street to make discover its wines to the public. Daniel Violet picks up the address just after the Second World War and makes it the most popular cap of the capital. The "father Violet" clearly vows an immoderate passion for Lyon cuisine that seduces the capital at the time and attracts a loyal customer tradition. It is this fervor for the taste of Lyon that has provoked Alain Ducasse's favorite for this mythical address that he took back in 2002.
This traditional bistro has kept its red wood facade and its "Maison Lyonnaise" brand. He cultivates the atmosphere of the traditional Lyon corks.
On the sideboard, an old coffee machine with piston releases steam. Behind the wooden counter covered with zinc and tin, some bottles placed in a wine rack placed under a continuous stream of cold water waiting to be consumed. Woodwork and moldings with floral motifs, fireworks and earthenware luminaries "metro" adorn walls and ceilings.
